Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern use of Riabo, operated by Arukas Limited (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Riabo, you agree to these Terms.
If you use Riabo on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation.
Acceptance
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, do not use Riabo.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains cookies used for sign-in.
The service
Riabo is an organisation accountability service. It is marketed primarily to schools, but any organisation may register and create a workspace.
Each organisation manages its own members and the content it enters into Riabo.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Organisation Owners control invitations, roles and removal of access for members of that organisation.
If you want your personal account deleted, contact us at hello@arukas.ie. Self-service account deletion is not currently available in the product.
Trials, licences and payments
New organisations may receive a free 30-day trial with access to Riabo features.
Paid access is provided as an annual licence. Purchases are processed through Stripe. After payment, an activation code is used to unlock the organisation’s licence.
Prices and what is included are shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
You may choose not to renew when a licence period ends. If paid access ends without renewal or activation, the organisation may become read-only until access is restored.
Where Irish or EU consumer cooling-off rights apply, refunds may be offered during the statutory 14-day period. Contact hello@arukas.ie to discuss a refund request. Business customers may have different rights.
Activation codes
Activation codes may be issued after purchase or through a partner. Codes are for the intended organisation and must not be shared or resold. Misuse may result in suspension of access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Riabo unlawfully or to harm others
- attempt to access another organisation’s workspace
- interfere with the security or availability of the service
- upload malicious software or abusive content
- misuse invitations, activation codes or payment processes
- enter information you are not entitled to process under your organisation’s policies or the law
Ownership of content
Your organisation retains ownership of the content it enters into Riabo, including actions, submissions and related records.
Evidence files stored in a connected Google Drive account remain in that organisation’s Google account, subject to Google’s terms and the organisation’s own Google settings.
You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content only as needed to provide Riabo.
Ownership of software
Riabo, including its software, design and branding, is owned by Arukas Limited or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Riabo to you. You receive a limited right to use the service while your organisation is entitled to access it.
Availability
We aim to keep Riabo available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, faults or events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
Limitation of liability
Riabo is a tool to help organisations organise work. It does not replace professional judgement, safeguarding procedures or legal advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data caused by misuse, unauthorised access within your organisation, or decisions made using Riabo.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Where liability can be limited, our total liability arising out of these Terms or your use of Riabo is limited to the fees paid by your organisation for Riabo in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using Riabo at any time. Organisation Owners may remove member access. To close an organisation account, contact us.
We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached, if fees are unpaid, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the service is not reasonably possible.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. The courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that may apply.
